Camellia japonica 'Powder Puff' Shrub

Camellia japonica 'Powder Puff' is an elegant, flowering evergreen shrub, producing large, creamy white double flowers from around March to April, a little later than other Camellia varieties. The showy flowers are ruffled at their centres and their pure white colour creates a striking contrast against the plant’s glossy, dark green leaves.

Preferring a partial shade to full shade position, Camellia 'Powder Puff' would make an elegant choice of screen as it keeps its foliage year-round. As it’s suited to container planting it would also be ideal for brightening up a shady corner of a patio. A moist, well-draining soil is preferred (we recommend an acidic soil). You can expect Camellia japonica 'Powder Puff' to reach an approximate height and spread of 3 x 2 metres in 20 years.
